He understands that he may have missed the boat per support. I volunteered to come out here and ask this subreddit (he's a retired COBOL guru but not as comfy with the internet or newer). His MacBook Pro can take the newest MacOS & it has 16GB RAM. It's also systemic/catch-22 as he can't upgrade to newest MacOS because he was also told that it'll break the Quicken 2016 version on his MacBook. Interesting situation because support told him there's no way to convert data to a newer version version of Quicken.
